MASONS 6-Month Mission Report: Progress and Achievements in Hertfordshire

Tuesday, August 24th, 2021

Since its launch in February 2021, MASONS has made great strides in fulfilling its mission to raise the bar for lettings and property management in Hertfordshire through innovation, market experience and quality service.

Directors Luke Mason and Jonathan Fiducia have created an agile, appealing service model, which six months post-launch is proving very popular with landlords and tenants alike.

Three themes have shaped the first six months at MASONS; firstly, combating inspection delays caused by Covid-19; secondly, rapid growth fuelled by positive landlord feedback; and finally, the progressive use of technology to meet client needs.

A February launch, during a national lockdown, resulted in a core priority of tackling a legacy of delayed inspections. The introduction of video reporting has been warmly welcomed by all parties and is proving to be a great tool for boosting transparency and communication.

Luke and Jonathan also found themselves busy establishing partnerships with 50 new landlords, in response to the bold launch offer of 12 months of free property management. Word of mouth recommendations now continues to fuel expansion, as Hitchin-based landlord Mr Simms notes: “Luke and Jonathan are efficient, polite, and relentless in their pursuit for excellent service.

Finally, new technologies and systems have been successfully deployed to enhance customer service, delivering a core aspect of the MASONS mission: personal and responsive communication. This has expanded horizons for the agency, with a growing number of overseas landlords choosing MASONS for reliable, effective long-distance communication.

What’s the secret behind this success? According to Luke, it’s down to experience: “Launching MASONS relied on knowledge gained through managing 1000s of successful tenancies in the past. Not only did this shape services we know landlords and tenants value, but it also helped us adapt well to the unique challenges of launching during the pandemic.”

Looking ahead, Jonathan comments: “The positive feedback we’ve had since launching MASONS has been brilliant. At the end of the day, effective lettings and property management are all about people. Our growing reputation for transparent, ethical and professional service is enabling our business to go from strength to strength. We can’t wait to further expand our portfolio over the next few months.”
